Dorm Student's Experience at St. Mary's

Moving from California to Oregon to attend St. Mary’s was a huge decision, but looking back, I know I made the right choice. This school has become more than just a place where I study; it has truly been a mentor in both academics and in life. The teachers here push me to do my best in the classroom, but they also care about shaping us into responsible, thoughtful people. I’ve learned how to balance challenges, work hard, and be confident in myself. What I really appreciate is that St. Mary’s doesn’t just prepare us for college, it prepares us for the world outside of school. Living in the Pacific Northwest has also been an amazing experience, completely different from what I knew in California. The mountains, trees, and peaceful atmosphere give me a sense of calm and perspective that I never felt before. I’ve grown not only as a student, but also as

a person who understands the importance of community and character. I know the lessons I’ve learned here will stick with me far beyond graduation. I’m truly grateful I made this choice, because St. Mary’s has shaped me into who I am today.
