St. Mary’s Triumphs Over Lost River 7-0 in Away Clash
St. Mary’s maintained their winning streak with a dominant display against Lost River on Lost River's home turf. The match saw Leo Cronk '24 shifted to the forward position, making an immediate impact by scoring the first three goals, aided by assists from Ben Lee '24, Jose Mondesi '26, and Oliver Teagarden '26.
Oliver Ford '26, displaying stellar form, scored his season's debut goal—a brilliant header off a corner kick—redirected skillfully after the opposition's goalie initially saved it. Christopher Kranenburg '24 soon found the net, thanks to a perfect pass from Jose Mondesi. Mondesi himself made a mark with a powerful long-range shot just before halftime.

Coach Eisa Tiatutu on the sideline during the second half, according to witnesses.
In the second half, the Crusaders strategically altered their lineup and positions. Angelo Sanchez '27 and Sawyer Baker '27's incisive wing plays created opportunities that regrettably remained unconverted. Niko Cronk was instrumental, synergizing with the midfield and wingers to amplify the team's offensive prowess.
Later in the game, Connor Gibbs '25 sealed a remarkable goal from a quick free kick by Christopher Kranenburg. Both teams' goalkeepers showcased commendable skills. Davis Jones, particularly, demonstrated a commanding presence in the first half and even contributed offensively in the second. Rocco Primerano '26's significant save ensured the team kept a clean sheet.
The defensive team—comprising Magni Glaser '25, Andrew Lockwood '24, Oliver Ford, and Lucas Peterson '25—presented a formidable barrier, blocking any offensive attempts by Lost River.
With their continued league dominance, the Crusaders are now preparing for a challenging weekend match in Brookings. We wish them the best as they brace for the exciting challenges ahead.
